On the 1st of February, the first sod was taken for new storage and assembly facilities at PETTINAROLI in Middelfart, Denmark.

1. More space for assembly tasks
We are experiencing an increasing demand for turnkey units and control systems for underfloor heating. The new building will primarily be used for storage, so that we can expand the area for assembly functions.

2. Less transport of “voids”
Today we transport a lot of air in the finished product packaging that comes from the production in Italy to the distribution warehouse in Middelfart. Therefore, we are moving a number of packaging tasks to Middelfart so our products are packaged closer to the 17 markets that we serve.

Thereby we avoid shipping “empty space”, and we therefore compress the long transport between the two countries. In this way, we expect to save 15-20% of the freight and thus achieve a significant saving on packaging and CO2. In addition, we revise both package sizes and the design of sales packaging to minimize packaging consumption.
